Book of the Month is looking for an Associate Product Manager to assist in the development of the Book of the Month product experience.

The Associate Product Manager will support the product management team in implementing features and improvements to the website and apps. In this position you will be responsible for providing an exceptional online experience to our members with a focus on shipping high quality software. Initially, you will be primarily focused increasing our throughput on QA iterations and release coordination, but over time you will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of the product development process, including defining user stories, working with design to create prototypes that fulfill the user stories, writing detailed specs for engineering, and then shipping new features and improvements. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who is interested in building a career in product management.

About the role:

  • Develop a master list of well-written test cases that ensures we maintain a quality experience across all front-end and back-end functionality while developing new features.
  • Create custom processes for new feature QA.
  • Perform routine regression tests of existing site functionality across browser, device, and email client.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team on QA processes for back-end and technical projects.
  • Perform routine content updates to launch our five new books to the site every month.
  • Suggest product enhancements to improve user experience.

About you:

  • Have 1-2 years in a product-focused or analytical role.
  • Are a quick learner and a creative thinker with an eye for detail.
  • Are interested in becoming a product manager.
  • You care about your career -- you want to do something great and you are willing to put in the hard work to make it happen.
