As we continue to optimize the hands-on operational support we provide to our portfolio companies, we are hiring a Founder Operations Manager to quarterback our founder-facing programs and activities.

The Founder Operations Manager will partner closely with Primary’s existing portfolio of 50+ NYC tech companies and will also support our growing NYC Founders Fellowship program. We are ultimately looking for a proactive self-starter who will build strong relationships with our founder community and design and execute new and unique opportunities for supporting them. For candidates thinking about pursuing an MBA program, this opportunity will provide you with unparalleled exposure into a number of different types of businesses before doing so.

Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Conducting NPS and CSAT surveys for founders and programs and synthesizing results to provide recommendations for how to drive continuous improvement
• Owning new portfolio company onboarding and refining the surrounding processes
• Planning and facilitating events and programs (e.g. Founders Fellowship programming, CEO roundtable discussions, functional deep dive lunch and learns)
• Launching a founder resource library with playbooks, evergreen content, etc.
• Managing CEO listserv and broader founder communications
• Tracking portfolio impact activity in our CRM system and managing relevant reporting

Qualified candidates must demonstrate extremely strong executive presence and previous work experience interfacing with customers, investors, or other partners in a high-touch capacity. Experience organizing and engaging communities is a huge plus.  

The perfect candidate must be available to work full-time in NYC and should have the following characteristics:

• A passion for venture and NYC tech — you track the NYC startup market and have an incredible network in the ecosystem.
• High EQ — you get energized by being a connector and know how to drive relationships forward. You are a natural community builder.
• Relevant background — you have 2-4 years of experience in operations, partnerships, customer success or related field and have spent significant time interfacing with senior leaders, managing projects and creating great experiences for others.
• Strong track record exceeding expectations— you are goal-oriented and a high performer by nature, and you have a history of exceeding expectations and targets.
• Outstanding project management skills — you are a highly process-driven and organized self-starter who has demonstrable experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and doing so on time and on budget.
• Entrepreneurship and resourcefulness in your DNA — need to get an answer or get something done? You will make that cold call. You will ask for that favor. You will bust down that door. You do what it takes!
