As a Product Analyst Fellow, you will join a cross-functional team that’s helping to transform how healthcare is delivered, working on projects that help positively change the lives of patients and clinicians. You will work alongside a highly collaborative product squad to help guide the product strategy and roadmap through meaningful data insights. This means everything from leading strategic analyses to informing decision-making and prioritization, to measuring product feature performance, to building out data availability and BI solutions, to brainstorming approaches to unstructured problems. We are looking for students who are entering their final year of university after the fellowship summer or are recent graduates, and who are excited about a startup setting where every day is different. You will work in partnership with dedicated mentors on both our data and product teams as well as other full-time analysts, engineers, and product managers of all levels to develop analytical and technical skills, as well as communication skills with non-technical and technical stakeholders alike.

Ro's Product Analytics Fellowship gives you a seat at the table – instead of focusing on crafting a side project, you'll be contributing directly to mission-critical production features and analyses with your team. It is a unique opportunity to dive into Ro’s fast-paced technology team, develop skills as a product-oriented analyst, meet incredible people throughout the organization, and truly contribute to Ro’s mission of becoming patients’ first call.
Organizationally, this is an “embedded” position, meaning that you will be directly embedded within your respective product squad. Unique to this role will also be the opportunity to be a part of both Ro’s Product and Data teams, seeing how both teams operate.

This is a 12-week long paid remote internship targeting US Based Rising Seniors.

What You’ll Do:

  • Take the lead on defining the opportunity size of addressing a core patient problem, and partner with the product squad on a strategy to address end-to-end
  • Regularly meet with dedicated Data and Product mentors, who will help steer your growth as a product analyst fellow throughout the summer
  • Leverage data to shape your product squad's strategy, providing support and/or leadership wherever needed.
  • Perform exploratory analyses and in-depth research on large data sets to uncover, size and advocate for opportunities that improve the patient experience and key business outcomes, such as patient retention
  • Collaborate with product, design, and data team members, plus other stakeholders across Ro to understand the needs and priorities of our users and the business
  • Develop skills in data analytics, product management, cross-team collaboration, and leadership

What You’ll Bring:

  • An entrepreneurial drive, curiosity, proactiveness, and self-motivation
  • Previous experience as an analyst or product owner in a team environment
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity for building user-centric products that address big problems
  • Passion for breaking down complex problems into simple solutions and making data-informed decisions
  • Experience in quantitative analysis
  • Mid-Advanced level SQL skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Problem solving skills, analytical aptitude, and numerical dexterity
  • Interest in the intersection of healthcare and technology
  • Entering your senior year in university after the fellowship summer or a recent graduate

Bonus points:

  • Working knowledge of Python and associated analytics libraries (Pandas, etc.)
  • Experience setting up and evaluating experiments
  • Familiarity with Unix/the command line
