MBA Intern, Business Transformation

LinkedIn’s Business Transformation organization drives strategy and execution of programs to increase our sales, operations, and support teams’ success. This summer, Business Transformation is offering two MBA internship tracks: change management and process transformation.

Both internships will own and manage enablement and strategy of major enterprise productivity initiatives. You will have direct engagement with various cross-functional stakeholders and opportunities to present recommendations and findings to global leadership.

Your 12-week internship will enhance not only your analytical, operational and strategy skillset, but also your networking skills. During your time with us, you'll take part in training, virtual outings, all hands meetings, and community service events all designed to give you avenues in which to meet your peers, executives and to get a comprehensive view of LinkedIn. We are deeply committed to helping you through thoughtful project work and professional training. Exceptionally high-performing summer MBA interns have the potential to earn an opportunity to join us full-time after graduation, dependent on team and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities, develop strategies, and design execution of projects and programs to increase productivity and improve operational efficiency across LinkedIn’s four commercial lines of business (Talent Solutions, Marketing Solutions, Sales Solutions, and Learning Solutions)
  • Bring clear strategic thinking and excellent problem-solving skills to a range of challenging sales questions
  • Partner closely with global Senior Leadership from across all lines of business to drive adoption of Business Productivity programs by developing an understanding of key value drivers for different stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively with partners at all levels, especially senior executives
  • Cultivate relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Business Product Management, Sales Readiness, Support, Business Operations, and Sales Operations to drive strategic initiatives

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have completed MBA degree by 2023 or earlier
  • Must be returning to school the term following summer internship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Natural problem-solver: comfortable with ambiguity; able to both dive into operational tactics, and engage meaningfully in the big picture
  • Proactive and passionate about results: independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources and delivering results in challenging situations
  • Leadership: strong team leadership and project management skills and ability to mobilize teams towards a common goal
  • Initiative and ownership: ability to act with limited oversight on day-to-day basis, balancing multiple priorities
  • High-energy, team-first attitude: motivated to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment to help our growing business
  • Effective communications: excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations
  • Executive presence: experience working closely with senior executives to solve challenging business problems; Ability to credibly and compellingly present and debate recommendations with senior leadership
  • Highly analytical: experience decomposing and solving real world business problems, ideally building/using advanced Excel models. SQL and Power BI a plus
