Spoiler Alert is looking for a Marketing Associate to create content, manage social media, and expand our marketing efforts for our growing company. We are an enterprise software solution that helps leading food & beverage manufacturers manage excess and distressed inventory. We have strong customer relationships with global brands like Nestle, Campbell’s, Kraft Heinz, and Danone, and we’re looking for a creative, hungry-to-learn, early-career marketer to help grow our brand and implement our customer acquisition strategy in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape your role and responsibilities while gaining exposure to all parts of the Marketing function. This role requires the flexibility to engage with multiple marketing channels, partnering closely with Sales and Customer Success to deliver content that speaks to leading CPG manufacturers. We’re looking for someone who can take a content idea, topic or project and bring it to life. We are firm believers in the value of effective marketing and see this as a pivotal role for our company’s success. We have a big mission and large market opportunity, and this individual should be passionate about leveraging technology to reduce waste and increase food access.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for executing on several of our Marketing goals, reporting to our Marketing Manager. As we scale, you will have the opportunity to define your focus and determine which areas of marketing you’d like to specialize in. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Write and publish biweekly blog posts, maintaining a consistent voice and tone and aligning with the team’s search engine optimization strategy
  • Write, build and send emails to our customers and prospects, promoting new content and company updates
  • Assist with organizing and promoting events and speaking engagements, including writing presentation content in coordination with leadership
  • Organize quarterly webinar presentations, including identifying and scheduling speakers and assisting with content scripting
  • Manage company social media channels on LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Write additional content as needed, including press releases, customer announcements, video scripts and ad copy
  • Support efforts to grow marketing qualified leads, increase website traffic, and create a more engaging experience for prospective customers

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with any aspect of marketing that you’d like while delivering on content production.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of marketing experience, ideally within a SaaS or technology company OR relevant course of study with hands-on experience
  • Strong writing and storytelling abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to develop and follow a content calendar
  • Experience with a customer relationship management system (HubSpot, Pardot, Marketo) is a plus
  • Execution-oriented mindset with the drive and scrappiness to get it done
  • Desire to learn about all aspects of the marketing funnel and develop expertise in chosen areas
  • Passion towards company’s mission and interest in sustainability and food waste reduction
