A proven marketer in DTC Ecommerce, the Email Marketing Manager will own the email strategy creation and hands-on execution of our initial and continued engagement of consumers over their lifecycle through email and other retention channels such as Direct Mail, SMS and Push Notifications. Reporting into the VP of Growth, we're looking for an Email Marketing expert who has the knowledge of how to engage consumers, create long term value in being part of our email list and accelerate company growth in the process. The ideal candidate will have a natural desire to work with data and love testing & optimizing for continual improvement of our program.

What You'll Do

  • Be the strategic and technical expert for email, maximizing all email technology, tools, segments, automations and partnerships
  • Devise the email campaign calendar and touchpoints to drive engagement, sales and higher LTV
  • Build marketing automations to personalize emails to customers for whichever products they are most interested in protecting to reduce email churn
  • Assemble, quality check and schedule weekly emails in Drip (https://www.drip.com/)
  • Partner with our Creative Director to produce high-performing and captivating emails that push results while maintaining our brand identity
  • Create new email templates as needed and update existing email creatives
  • Stay up to date with latest email best practices, including responsive development and cross-client compatibility
  • Ensure utilization of deliverability best practices and compliance of content with brand standards, privacy, spam regulation, web accessibility/ADA, etc.
  • Lead the A/B testing of all aspects of the email program (creative, subject lines, timing, frequency, etc.) to determine the best ways to optimize results
  • Dig into email results for reporting and assessment of program performance.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Email marketing - DTC experience is required
  • Background in marketing, business, advertising, emails & automations, analytics, business intelligence or similar experiences at a DTC company
  • Hands on familiarity of maximizing email marketing automation tools
  • Collaborative mindset for creative and copy but ultimate owner of email marketing results
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to translate metrics into actionable insights
  • Constant self learner with a hands on approach, a good sense of prioritization and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Thrives in a remote-first, distributed work environment based on Central Time
  • Bonus - HTML/CSS knowledge as well as SQL. SMS, Push Notifications or Direct Mail experience
