Reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Operations Manager, the Operations Manager will be responsible for maintaining critical inventory levels responsible in the timely flow of orders within a 3PL environment. Residing in Memphis, this position will coordinate with various members of the SmileDirectClub supply chain team to monitor on hand quantities, adjust order criteria, and ensure that timely fulfillment of all orders is achieved daily.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily order transmissions between SmileDirectClub systems and the 3PL provider to ensure that all orders are being fulfilled in a timely manner. These duties will include both DTC sales orders and retail replenishment orders.
  • Work closely with SmileDirectClub supply chain management team members to ensure that all critical inventory items remain in stock to support operations. These duties include but are not limited to packaging, retail product, marketing collateral and support materials.
  • Work closely with the 3PL management team daily to resolve all order management issues and ensure the timely shipment of all orders.
  • Communicate daily with the supply chain management team, information systems team and customer service teams within SmileDirectClub to ensure that all opportunities are being addressed proactively.
  • Oversee all vendor compliance and routing requirements for outbound wholesale and retail accounts.
  • Provide daily problem resolution to the 3PL provider and escalate issues as necessary within the proper SmileDirectClub organization.
  • Monitor and approve all 3PL daily activities within the parameters of the 3PL contract and ensure that the agreed upon service level agreements are being met on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Provide on site quality assurance support to the SmileDirectClub team by inspecting incoming product and comparing to specifications that have been provided.
  • Develop scope documents, gain approvals, monitor progress and assist in results gathering for all fulfillment related product tests.

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering or a supply chain-oriented discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a high-volume retail or direct to consumer distribution environment.
  • Great communication skills and experience in complex organizational environments.
  • Proactive mentality that will push for excellence in all their daily responsibilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in daily functions and responsibilities.
