Mirza is a company on a mission to create a world where anyone can have a family AND a career. Targeted in the US, our current product (in beta) is a financial planning tool for future parents, using data science to predict expenses such as childcare and fertility. Parents can see their parenthood penalty as impacted by taking parental leave, and minimise this over a 5 or 10 year period.

We’re looking for an experienced and driven Senior Application Engineer to take ownership of our web applications. This role will report to our Head of Engineering. It’s an exciting time to join us - we’ve just closed a pre-seed round, and are in the early stages of building our products and tools.

As a key member of the development team, your expertise and opinions will be integral in shaping and producing our technology stack and processes. You’re someone who loves communicating how and why you got to the decisions you made, and you’re comfortable with system design.

This role isn’t just designing systems; you'll be getting stuck in and building them too. Our web applications are built with JavaScript, and you will get to own every aspect of this. You’ll also be in charge of supporting technologies, such CSS frameworks or API querying tools.  It takes a lot more than just writing code to produce quality products. You’ll be a crucial leader in implementing how we build, test, deploy, and maintain our codebases.
