About the Role:

To support Mynd in its ambition to 15x its “retail” client base (i.e. individual investors) in the next 2.5 years, we are looking to add our first Product Lead for the Growth team. This role will report into our VP of Product and the Technology team, but work closely with the Chief Business Officer, VP of Growth, VP of Marketing, and Sales and Business Development teams to drive exponential growth of new customer acquisition. It will start as a Senior IC with expectations to build a small team.

  • How do we find the balance between product-led and sales-led growth? What products should we build to help self service vs. accelerate the sales team? 
  • How do we connect top of the funnel to the complex process of onboarding a physical asset like a property? 
  • How do we improve sales capacity with better data collection and routing?
  • How should we educate a prospect to entice them to eventually convert self-service? 
  • How should we think about the contract process and other terms needed to manage a home which could improve conversions?
  • How should we think about virality through referrals or other methods?
  • How should we promote ancillary services like mortgages, insurance, buying, and more to increase retention and margins? Or what new services should we offer?
  • How should we design dataflows from our website to CRM to our core product? What does our experimentation framework look like? 
  • How do we define and model owner profiles to change our acquisition strategy? 
  • What channels should we test and optimize to maximize our ROI? 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the VP of Growth and key stakeholders in the Revenue team to develop Mynd’s retail growth strategy
  • Own the Product Growth agenda and roadmap e.g. building a world-class signup flow to improve marketing & sales productivity, landing page and signup flow experiments
  • Work closely with a team of software engineers and designers to deliver on that Growth agenda (defining requirements, prioritizing tasks, user acceptance testing etc.)
  • Work closely with the Owners product manager and Onboarding product manager to connect top of the funnel to operations. 
  • Establish a deep understanding of our audience through user research, feedback and data and use those insights to shape the Growth Product agenda
  • Help build a strong cross-functional Growth team and experiment + data-driven culture where ideas are from all team members are welcomed and encouraged

Qualifications:

  • Product experience: 5+ years of Product Management experience at a leading tech company or various growth startups. Familiar with product and project management tools such as JIRA and Notion.
  • Growth experience: Experience partnering closely with digital marketing teams (and ideally with Sales) on Product initiatives to drive user acquisition
  • Experience leading experiments: Experience designing, building, and evaluating experiments
  • Problem solving skills: You’re a problem solver at heart; highly analytical and strive to always make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: you will need to develop strong relationships with business partners, engineering, design, and other cross functional teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to influence cross-functional teams and executives. 
  • Industry expertise: Ideally you have experience driving growth of a “considered” purchase, e.g., SMB SaaS, FinTech, Real Estate, or Consumer Marketplaces
  • Preferred: Solid statistical and quantitative skills 
  • Preferred: Educational background in computer science or related field
