Modern building systems generate large amounts of data from a myriad of embedded sensors and control and automation systems. That said, currently, the majority of this data is under-utilised. BUENO takes a big data approach to find real value in this data, discovering everything from faulty and inefficient equipment to poorly tuned air-conditioning systems.

The Candidate 

At BUENO, we are a talented group of engineers, data scientists, designers and product people with a passion for solving real-world problems. We're growing fast, and looking to bring on a Sydney based Technical Account Engineer to help deliver our services to clients using our software and engineering principles. The candidate will be reporting directly to the Managed Service Team Lead.

 

The Role 

You will be managing relationships with existing/new clients, meeting their service delivery requirements, addressing their technical needs, finding strategic alignment between their needs and our product, and identifying opportunities for expanding our client and service base. This role will also require you to be able to provide technical, product and business knowledge to support our clients and BUENO’s service delivery. There will be both Account Management and Service delivery functions for this role. 

The role requires wide experience in Engineering disciplines, client management, technical sales and internal stakeholder delivery.

 

Key duties and responsibilities:

Account Management 

  • Build strong customer relationships with key customer stakeholders
  • Train customers to use products effectively
  • Keep track of key account metrics
  • Take initiatives in identifying growth opportunities
  • Complete  proposals  for any  upsell opportunities to existing clients or new clients, seeking approval for larger accounts
  • Regular communication and liaison with clients at a region or national level to assess client KPIs and pathway for success
  • Prepare strategic client plans and lead client on-boarding
  • Drive client retention, renewals, upsells and client satisfaction
  • Manage customer activity for maximum efficiency and visibility
  • Focus on ensuring we maintain superior customer service levels and strategic insight
  • Conduct regular account meetings to ensure consistent service delivery across portfolios
  • Provide escalation support to BUENO Managed Service Engineers in managing client relationships
  • Ability to keep BUENO Management well informed of contract performance;  including financial reporting (actuals versus budgets, forecasts etc)
  • Lead strategic account catch-ups with clients and internal teams, providing transparency on the contract and escalate any project risks


Managed Service Engineer

  • Identification and  prioritisation of Actions using Bueno platform
  • Identification and  prioritisation of Actions through the application of engineering principles
  • Participate  in  monthly  meetings  with  clients  and  stakeholders  to present actions in a way that clearly demonstrates the value of the Actions
  • Review and closeout completed Actions and escalate incomplete Actions
  • Be highly competent at using our cloud-based tools, software and products
  • Delivery of tasks and services within budget
  • All work is completed on time and at an acceptable level
     

As a great candidate you have:

  • Amazing interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with both internal and external stakeholders and clients. 
  • 3+ years of Building Services experience
  • Demonstrated aptitude for management and a desire to develop and apply management techniques
  • Clear verbal and written communication; strong computer-based skills
  • Prior experience in energy management or analytics software systems

 

The following skills and experience are favourable, however, are not essential:

  • Sustainability and building optimisation knowledge and experience
  • Prior works with Australian REIT’s
