The HEAT Group is seeking to hire a Social Media Basketball Coordinator who is responsible for ideating, producing, maintaining and posting content for Miami HEAT and other auxiliary properties via Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and other social media platforms. The ideal candidate for this full-time position will be expected to assist in telling the Miami HEAT on-court story via social media platforms in an effort to reach all of HEAT Nation across the globe. Experience representing a brand’s social media presence is strongly preferred. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Bachelor’s degree in a marketing, communications or business-related field. Minimum of 1-2 years experience with either a publisher, brand or professional/college sports team. Significant knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms. Significant knowledge of the game of basketball, Miami HEAT team news (both current and historical) and NBA storylines. Extensive knowledge of pop culture, current events, and social media/internet culture. Strong writing, creative and analytical skills. Social media creativity and swift adaptability to current events. Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays for Miami HEAT game coverage. Detail-oriented, well organized and able to handle multiple tasks in a timely and professional manner while taking initiative. Outstanding communication, collaboration, and relationship building skills. Photography and Adobe Photoshop skills are a plus. Fluency in Spanish preferred, but not required
