We are looking for a talented and inquisitive Sales Director whose drive for learning and determination for continuous improvement aligns with our ambitious, fast-growing and transforming company. You will be a key player and responsible for leading and developing the North American Commercial team. Using the resources and technology provided, you will grow and expand the client base, strengthen the brand and drive revenues while adhering to the Catapult culture code and values. This will be a remote-based position with responsibilities across multiple sports across the country while reporting to the VP Commercial - North America

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Effectively manage the sales staff training, motivating, and supporting a passionate team of employees
  • Identify key sales metrics, define and measure the sales process to develop benchmarks for growth
  • Build the sales team beyond the current size and help attract and train gifted and passionate sales associates
  • Manage the implementation and execution of the global and local sales strategies.
  • Ensure that sales goals are thoughtfully developed and executed
  • Develop, implement and manage systems and processes to ensure maximum productivity, great client experience and a fun work environment
  • Maintain proper documentation of sales processes and best practices.
  • Complete quarterly commission and performance reports for each sales team member
  • Ensuring that customer contracts are in a position to be signed by Catapult with regards to legal administration.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with the customer support department, to ensure client expectations are set realistically and achieved as promised.
  • Participate in the interview process when adding to the inside sales team.
  • Prepare relevant internal sales documents and reports for the executive team.
  • Maintain accountability for team sales targets 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Proven track record selling to elite sports teams
  • Bachelor’s degree desired
  • Exceptional, proven sales track record in similar roles, preferably in a sports, or technology/SaaS environment.
  • Proven track record of driving discipline and rigour in the sales process, including being accountable for CRM data entry and maintenance to enable accurate pipeline and metrics reporting.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process for large and complex deals, from lead generation to close.
  • Proven ability to grow a high performing team by recruiting and developing talent
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all levels both internally and externally.  Including C-suite.
  • Adaptable. We know our current needs, and we work at a very fast pace to achieve these. At times, we’ll demand a lot, but you’ll be rewarded well in return. We understand life balance and respect it.
  • 8+ years of business development to business sales experience required
  • 3-5 years managing or leading a sales team required
  • Willing to travel (up to 50% of the time when local restrictions permit)
