Do you love the challenge of aligning paid and organic social media strategies to reach organizational objectives?! We’re looking for a Coordinator of Digital Strategy to join Hornets Sports & Entertainment (HSE) with the ability to collaborate, strategize and optimize paid social campaigns.

You will use creative problem solving and paid social media skills to implement campaigns that accomplish organizational and partner goals. You will also provide data and reporting to inform decision-making on a variety of social media campaigns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the partnerships department on the development, implementation, tracking and optimization of campaigns to meet partner goals while adhering to the overarching Hornets social media strategy
  • Provide recommendations to partnerships, marketing, ticketing, community, game presentation and arena marketing departments for social platform, creative execution, duration, budget, timing and targeting for organic and paid social campaigns
  • Optimize and build paid social campaigns, target audiences, forms, retargeting efforts, and ad copy
  • Work with all departments to ensure branded content complements and amplifies all HSE initiatives
  • Download and distribute leads from lead generation campaigns
  • Use native analytics paired with Sprout Social to provide social performance reports
  • Set budget and bidding strategies for paid social campaigns
  • A/B test audiences, creative and ad copy while assessing the most efficient combinations
  • Complete expense reports for paid social spend
  • Create and provide paid social invoices for arena marketing
  • Work with the web development team to handle and troubleshoot ad pixels
  • Manage and troubleshoot social media shopping
  • Research audiences to best fit campaign objectives
  • Stay up-to-date on paid and organic social updates and consistently provide recommendations to innovate

Required Skills, Experience and Abilities

To perform the job successfully, you should demonstrate the following proficiencies:

  • 1-3 years of experience in paid and organic social media
  • Strong understanding of paid social strategy and execution on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, TikTok and Google PPC
  • Strong communication skills including written and verbal; able to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
  • Content ideation and planning experience
  • Proficiency with Facebook Business Manager and Ads Manager platforms, tools, and integrations
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current paid social marketing trends and social media best practices
  • Experience running and implementing high budget paid social media campaigns across channels
  • Deep knowledge of paid social analytics
  • Strong organizational competence and attention to detail
  • Excellent critical reasoning skills with the shown ability to collaborate and build relationships with others
  • Strong desire to learn and continue to build knowledge in the paid and organic social space
  • Willingness and ability to provide proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination required. All religious, medical, or other legally recognized exemptions regarding vaccination status will be considered
