Position Overview

Buzzer is seeking a Brand Designer to play a critical role in both shaping and executing the day-to-day visual identity of the brand and company. In this role you will work within our design organization, while also working cross-functionally with our marketing and business development teams to help concept and design visual assets that will serve as the public identity of Buzzer. These assets will include but not be limited to: social, marketing, brand, merchandise, and external Business Development collateral.

Simply put: We want a designer who, with creative autonomy, can make Buzzer stand out as the go to solution for fans to watch the best moments in sports. 

An understanding and ability to execute high quality design in an efficient and fast-paced environment is core to the success of this role. If you’re creative, trend-aware, autonomous, sports-obsessed, and love working alongside passionate colleagues, we want to meet you.

This role requires a design portfolio that showcases your ability to create engaging and innovative visual assets for a brand at scale.

Buzzer is presently a fully distributed team, which will require this individual to be collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working remotely. This will include working in close partnership with Partnership Management, Marketing, and Product in addition to external agencies and consultants. This role reports to the Director of Design.

In this role you will:

  • Create/design assets for social media and paid marketing campaigns.

  • Ideate and create branded collateral for influencers/investors/etc. such as merchandise

  • Create branded assets for business/partner purposes

  • Be the gatekeeper of the Buzzer visual brand and how it used across purposes and functions

  • Work collaboratively with different teams to ensure the Buzzer brand is used properly and teams have the guidelines they need.

  • Incorporate league/partner guidelines into your creative process

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Design or equivalent practical experience

  • Mastery of Figma and Photoshop

  • Proficiency in After Effects 

  • Understanding of Illustrator, Webflow and Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere

  • Experience working with cross functional teams providing direction and requirements to execute your vision

  • A self-starting attitude, ready to embrace opportunities to make an impact autonomously with good organization agility to work effectively across functions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mastery of After Effects and video editing/motion graphics

  • Previous experience working in a sports-related industry 

  • Previous experience at a start-up and or technology company
